Dr. James Joseph completed his medical school studies at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (1994-1998). He then went on to complete a Family Medicine residency through Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1998-2001. He has now been in clinical practice for about 18 years. Dr. Joseph has been with IBI since 2007. Dr. Joseph helped thousands of patients enhance their ability to heal by utilizing alternative therapies, reducing probability of surgical intervention.In 2012, he completed a stem cell harvesting training course through the prominent Ageless Institute in Adventura, FL, and later went on to complete the first ever Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine Fellowship in 2016 through his membership in the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (a4m). This field is called Regenerative Medicine. Regenerative Medicine represents the most exciting part of Anti-Aging Medicine as it allows for the possibility to enhance the body to regenerate itself.
Nurse Practitioner & Medical Director
Lyuba Shapiro started her career as a Nurse Practitioner at Illinois Back Institute in 2014. Lyuba graduated with honors in 2008 as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and finished her Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2015. She is a double Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry in providing high quality, sound, and compassionate patient care.
Lyuba has strong and diverse clinical skills in providing evaluations, peer counseling, patient education, and laboratory work interpretation. At Illinois Back Institute, Lyuba has worked side by side with Illinois Back Institute team members and our PhD researcher to gain superior skills reading and interpreting X-Rays and MRIs. Based on those findings, she prescribes an individual plan of treatment for each patient. Lyuba has treated thousands of patients utilizing the Illinois Back Institute’s proven and published study protocol.
Lyuba has an ability to build good rapport with patients and families that help to improve the patients’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being. She can collaborate effectively with all healthcare team members as well as mentoring and motivating staff.
Lyuba is certified in ACLS & BLS.
Director Of Physical Therapy
Sneha Sheth, PT is a BLS/CPR certified licensed physical therapist. She has been with Illinois Back Institute since May 2018 and currently practicing at Carol Stream, IL location. Sneha is a multilingual, enthusiastic and passionate licensed physical therapist with experience in the United States and India. Her goal is to always provide compassionate care to patients and help them return to the activities they love to perform by minimizing and/or eliminating pain via physical therapy treatment. Sneha completed Bachelors of Physical Therapy from Gujarat University, India in 2010. After graduation, she completed Aerobics and Yoga certification courses in India. In addition, Sneha has attended various workshops like Assessment & Treatment of Spinal Dysfunction, Neuro Developmental Technique, Diagnosis of Hemodynamic Pain, Rehab of Piriformis Syndrome, ICU Monitoring & PT Intervention, Neurological Rehabilitation, and Athletes’ Triad. She moved to the United States in 2014 and passed her Physical
Allison is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Walden University with high honors and was inducted into the International Honor Society, and the International Leadership Society. Allison believes in treating patients holistically. She also believes in building relationships with patients to create trust and an open dialogue. Educating patients is a top priority for her. Allison is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support.
Arva Gadly is a clinical intern at Illinois back institute. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the Dr. M.G.R. University, Diploma in Yoga for Human Excellence, and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana, USA. She received a gold medal for excellence in the field of physical therapy in 2019. Her primary clinical focus includes helping the physical therapist with her expertise and knowledge in exercise therapy, kinesiology and manual therapy to improve patient condition and outcome. In addition to clinical responsibilities, Arva engages in research activities along with other team members in Illinois Back Institute, related to her background in physiotherapy and yoga and its applications to Parkinson’s disease and geriatrics.
Magy has been with Illinois Back Institute over 10 years. She works as a patient advocate. Her responsibility includes to educate patients about proven study of our unique protocol, excellent communication skills, the ability to be empathetic, organizational skills, good time management. As a technician, she has been involved in providing care for over thousands of patients and numerous football players for teams such as Chicago Bears and in helping them to achieve their goals and get their life back.
