Dr. James Joseph D.O.
Dr. James Joseph completed his medical school studies at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (1994-1998). He then went on to complete a Family Medicine residency through Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1998-2001. He has now been in clinical practice for about 18 years. Dr. Joseph has been with IBI since 2007. Dr. Joseph helped thousands of patients enhance their ability to heal by utilizing alternative therapies, reducing probability of surgical intervention. In 2012, he completed a stem cell harvesting training course through the prominent Ageless Institute in Adventura, FL, and later went on to complete the first ever Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine Fellowship in 2016 through his membership in the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (a4m). This field is called Regenerative Medicine. Regenerative Medicine represents the most exciting part of Anti-Aging Medicine as it allows for the possibility to enhance the body to regenerate itself.

Lyuba Shapiro NP
Lyuba Shapiro is a double Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry in providing high quality, sound, and compassionate patient care with specialization in physical medicine and rehabilitation medicine. Lyuba has strong and diverse clinical skills in providing evaluations, peer counseling, patient education, and laboratory work interpretation. Based on the findings, Lyuba prescribes a plan of treatment individually to each patient. Lyuba is certified in ACLS & BLS.
Lyuba has treated over 1,000 patients according to the studies that have shown proven and published methods with symptoms resolved after completion of the protocol. She works at the Arlington Heights location.

Kristin Walsh
Physical Therapist
Kristin received her Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her Masters of Physical Therapy from Governors State University. She has been a practicing Physical Therapist for 25 years with the majority of her career treating orthopedic musculoskeletal conditions in pediatric and adult patients. She has a certification in dry needling and has taken multiple courses in myofascial release and return to sports/athletics after injury.
If her free time, Kristin is spending time with her husband and three children. She enjoys walks outside with her dogs, staying active and reading a good book.

Brittany Apostal
Family Nurse Practitioner
Brittany Apostal is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. John’s College in Springfield, Illinois, and later obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. With over 10 years of clinical healthcare experience, she has developed a strong knowledge in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
She is dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes by combining traditional methods, such as physical therapy and medication, with innovative approaches. This comprehensive process begins with a detailed evaluation to make an accurate diagnosis. She then develops and implements personalized rehabilitation plans and uses targeted therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s physical challenges. By focusing each patient’s individual needs and circumstances, she helps them regain their abilities and improve their quality of life. Her goal is to support patients on their journey toward renewed strength, resilience, and vitality, promoting both recovery and overall well-being.
